CLEON Conferences & Communications is organizing the 2nd AI SUMMIT under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance, SEKEE, ISACA, Homo Digitalis, and Rythmisis.
The conference will be moderated by lawyer and journalist Antonis Papagiannidis, while a speech will also be given by Stefanos Vitoratos, co-founder of Homo Digitalis and lawyer.
The conference will take place on Tuesday, April 29, at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens.

Homo Digitalis Event on the AI Act and opportunities for synergies for Civil Society Organizations
On Thursday, February 27, Homo Digitalis organized the first-ever workshop on the AI Act for Civil Society Organizations in Greece at its offices in ViOS Coworking Space!
More than 20 organizations participated, coming from diverse backgrounds but sharing a common interest: collaborating on the challenges and opportunities arising from the AI Act.
Event Highlights
During the event, we presented our three thematic studies on the AI Act:
-Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments (FRIAs)
-Supervisory Authorities & AI Governance Ecosystem
-Prohibited Practices
We also hosted thematic discussion groups on four key topics:

Participation of Homo Digitalis in the 52nd Book Festival
Homo Digitalis has the great honour to be present at the 52nd Book Festival taking place at the Pedion tou Areos.
Specifically, on Thursday 19 September at 20:15, our co-founder and President Elpida Vamvaka will participate as a speaker in a round table organized on the main stage of the festival by the Association of Book Publishers (S.E.B.) & the Hellenic Comics Academy on the topic “Is art written with AI?”
The discussion will be moderated by Panagiotis Papageorgiou (Lawyer, Member of the Greek Comics Academy) and Dimitris Doukoglou (illustrator, presenter, stand-up comedian).
Other important speakers of the round table include Vassilis Vlahokyrikakos (Associate Professor of Human-Computer Interaction) , Abraham Kawa (Author, Translator & Theorist of Culture) and George Nathaniel (IT and Management Consultant).

We participated with great success in Infolaw 2024
Last Thursday 28 March we had the great honour and pleasure to speek at Infolaw 2024 “Regulating Digital Innovation: AI, Cybersecurity and Platforms” participating in the panel “AI: From Theory to Practice … on AI”.
We were represented there by our co-founder Eleftherios Chelioudakis, who spoke about the challenges posed by Articles 5 and 6 of the AI Act, FRIAs and the tools that civil society has at its disposal to address potential violations of the legal framework.
